Welcome!

Hello there! My name is Sophia Bates and I am originally from North Haven, Connecticut, but I am

currently attending Saint Michael's College as an undergraduate student studying secondary education

and history. As a freshman, I have already been placed in classrooms in order to get a middle school

and high school experience in Burlington, Vermont in schools and society. This year, I will be tutoring

english language learners and participating in more education classes in order to get closer to obtaining

my licensure. When I graduate from Saint Michael’s, I hope to move to Boston in order to obtain her

masters in education at Lesley University while teaching in an inner city school program in order to

connect with students in Boston on a personal level. When I complete my education, I also hope to be

involved in administration of schools who need to develop a better system in order to operate smoothly

and administer to every child's need. I currently live on campus at Saint Michael’s, but I am usually found

walking my dog or at Smugglers Notch to ski as much as possible!
